For over forty years, Lister has been teaching, and continuing to learn, that God is to be found known, loved and served in every moment of everyone’s life.  First as an Anglican priest and now as a Roman Catholic priest, now based in Liverpool, he has accompanied people, at home and abroad, in retreats, spiritual direction and ordinary conversation as they explore their own experience of God.  For anyone thinking of taking a look at that, he likes to say, “No previous experience necessary“!

Nick is an Anglican priest who has ministered in London, Sheffield and Hereford Dioceses. He's been involved in Ignatian spirituality and accompaniment training for over 20 years. He's active as a spiritual director, trainer and trainer of trainers. He's been chair of the Spiritual Exercises Network since 2012. He enjoys the outdoors, walking, climbing and being in wilderness, not least in his native South Africa.

Mark was ordained in 1987 and, after serving in parishes and NHS mental health chaplaincy, was Director of the London Centre for Spirituality from 2012-2016. Mark lives in the shadow of the Black Mountains on the English/Welsh border and works among the thirty nine parishes of the Abbeydore Deanery. He offers spiritual direction and supervision, and leads the Diocese in Europe formation programme for spiritual directors. Mark is a psychotherapist and a director of The Mind Clinic.

Jeremy Summerell worked for thirty years in primary schools serving as a headteacher for twenty years in three schools. On retiring he joined the Diocese of Ely as an Assistant to the Diocesan Director of Education where he spent five years supporting schools and governing bodies. During this time he trained as a spiritual director with Cambridgeshire Courses in Spiritual Direction (CCSD) and subsequently joined the tutor team in 2013. He is the current Chair of CCSD and represents them on the Council.

Kenneth has been a psychotherapist for over 35 years and a Spiritual Director for 14 years. He was Principal Counsellor with Norwich Union Counselling Service and staff counsellor for The Royal London Hospitals Trust. He was formally Administrator for three years of The London Centre for Spirituality and then interim Director. He now is a Spiritual Director and Supervisor and sees people in London at St Marylebone Counselling and Healing Centre and in Kent. He recently studied at Sarum College in Christian Spirituality. He is also training to be a Civil Celebrant.

Kenneth is a keen flower arranger and has developed and facilitated workshops using flowers as a medium into Christian Spirituality. He also enjoys writing poetry and recently has had one of his poems set to choral music.

Bruce says ‘I think it’s fair to say that the spirituality of the Exercises of St Ignatius changed my life! It was only when I did the Exercises in daily life that I learned what it means to be a child of God.’

He has been a tutor on the Ignatian Spirituality Course since 2006, becoming a director of the course in 2023. Also, he is an Anglican parish priest in North London. His life includes being a Companion and Oblate of Julian of Norwich, a spiritual director, and a giver of retreats. His passions include listening to the Archers, red wine and holidays.

Natalie Baxter Strange is a spiritual director, supervisor and teacher. Having left the States in her late 20’s to come to work in Belgium, she has now spent more than half her life living in Europe, either on the Continent or in the UK. She trained in Spiritual Direction in Cambridge over 20 years ago when she discovered that this ministry was her calling and vocation. In the years since then, the Spiritual Exercises have become more central in her work. Her own experience of the Exercises, along with accompanying others in them, has been a significant means of God’s love and grace in her life.

Natalie is married to a retired Anglican priest and they have two children and three grandchildren. In addition to her work and time with family, the things that bring her joy are cooking, gardening, being in nature, Belgian dark chocolate and good conversation, especially around a dinner table.

Julie is a spiritual director and supervisor and occasional retreat giver living in south east London  With an earlier background in  public relations, marketing and charity fundraising she worked at the London Centre for Spirituality when it  was set up and  becoming established, training as a spiritual director on the three year Ignatian course during that period.

Her interests include theatre and film, becoming a better bridge player and hospitality. Semi-retired she is regularly called upon for grandchild care.

David Sutton was ordained an Anglican priest in 1973, and served in parishes in his native Lancashire until 2008.Having been for many years a part-time chaplain in mental health, in 2008 he was appointed Chaplaincy/Spiritual Care Co-ordinator for Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, and has recently retired from leading a team of nine other chaplains, three of them Muslim, working in all aspects of mental health care, including forensic and adolescent psychiatry. He has been a member of SRC since the late 1980s, and is a former Chairman of the Council. He is active in spiritual direction and retreat work, and a member of the team running the Manchester Spiritual Companionship Course. As well as Ignatian spirituality, he has been influenced by the Charles de Foucauld movement and Eastern Orthodoxy. David is married with four daughters and eight grandchildren.
